VI. I just got back from teaching a two-day seminar in Goteborg, Sweden. I had a lot of fun teaching Mr. August Wallén (A Harris International BJJ Black Belt) and his students! The training was phenomenal. We covered no gi guard passing, how to position one’s self while passing the guard, the most important component of guard passing, how and when to retreat to the safe houses inside the guard, grip fighting, collar chokes and the use of one’s feet, shins, knees to control while our hands, forearms and elbows were on another mission. The information was well received!

While the training was phenomenal, the weather was not cooperative for me. It snowed heavily while I was there and there were below zero temperatures that froze my bee-hind off ☺ All in all, I had a great time. August and his students are always respectful, disciplined, inquisitive and fun to train!

VII. At the end of this month, I am headed off to Worms, Germany to teach a two-day Brazilian Jiu Jitsu seminar to a group of guys from German Top Team.

IX. I had some interesting health and financial issues present themselves in October, November and December of 2009. They still persist, but I am overcoming them - one day at a time!

X. Recently, I’ve been working on developing royharris.mobi. I plan to have it finished in the coming weeks.

XI. Late in 2009, I had the chance to attend a Hard Style Kettlebell Instructor Certification course in St. Paul, MN. I had a great time and was very impressed by the course of instruction and the manner in which the course was run!

XII. I have ALMOST finished the HJJ 103 (“Grip Fighting”) DVD. Everything was looking good back in late October, early November. Then, LIFE HAPPENED. All that’s left to finish is about 90 seconds of the opening. So, I will be finished with it this month and will ship it off to the replicators soon. I’ll let you know when I “physically” possess the DVDs and when shipping will start.

Well, that about wraps things up for February. I will have more news for you next month.
